ADHD Coaching
“Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

🌬️ Understanding the ADHD Mind
Living with ADHD is often described as having a Ferrari brain with bicycle brakes — fast, powerful, and constantly in motion, yet difficult to slow down. Executive functioning can be delayed by up to 30%, influencing:
Self‑awareness and recognising burnout
Problem‑solving and breaking tasks into steps
Decision‑making and impulsivity
Motivation and working memory
Emotional regulation, including rejection sensitivity
Planning, prioritising, and inner self‑talk
Yet alongside these challenges, ADHD also brings creativity, authenticity, resilience, and a unique way of seeing the world.
🌿 Nature as a Regulator
Neurodivergent people are often instinctively drawn to the outdoors. Nature offers something rare: non‑judgemental space, gentle sensory input, and a calming rhythm that supports emotional balance.
According to Attention Restoration Theory, natural environments engage our involuntary attention — the soft fascination that helps restore focus and reduce mental fatigue. When we slow down enough to truly see nature, we often begin to see ourselves more clearly too.
This is why I offer clients the option to take our sessions outside, into the beautiful Purbeck countryside, where we can invite the landscape into our conversations.
🌊 Cold Water as a Reset
As a cold‑water facilitator, I also offer immersive coaching experiences that include a sea dip or cold‑water plunge at Studland Beach, either 1:1 or in small groups of 4–6. A percentage of each booking is donated to The Seahorse Trust to protect these amazing creatures and their habitat.
Cold water immersion is increasingly explored as a supportive approach for ADHD because it triggers a surge of dopamine, norepinephrine, and endorphins — neurotransmitters linked to focus, clarity, and emotional steadiness.
The brief shock to the nervous system creates a “mental reset,” helping reduce brain fog, anxiety, and emotional reactivity. Many people describe it as stepping out of the water with a clearer mind and a calmer body.
🌱 A Strengths‑Based, Blue‑Health Coaching Approach
Receiving a late ADHD diagnosis can feel like a tidal shift — validating, disorienting, liberating, and overwhelming all at once. My coaching approach is grounded in strengths‑based practice and appreciative inquiry, working with your brain rather than against it.
Like plants and marine life, we can thrive when the ecosystem is right. Together, we can explore how to:
Identify your natural strengths
Set boundaries and self‑advocate
Lean into your values
Develop resilience and self‑compassion
Quiet the inner critic
Build healthy habits that support lasting change
My aim is to help you create a life that feels authentic, spacious, and aligned — a life where your neurodivergent strengths can flourish.
