Creativity & Positivity Workshop at Durlston Country Park

Resilient By Nature:  2.5 Hour Creativity and Positivity Workshop

Date: Saturday 20th August 10am until 12.30pm or 1pm until 3.30pm

Venue:  The Learning Centre, Durlston Country Park, Lighthouse Road, Swanage, BH19 2JL

Come and join us for some arty, crafty fun where we’ll be letting our creative minds run wild, exploring what the magical process of cyanotype can teach us about flipping a negative into a positive and what we can learn from nature about navigating life’s ups and downs. Let’s face it, we can all find it difficult when we’re having a down day and this easy technique can help us see life from a different perspective.

As you have busy lives you have the choice of a morning or afternoon session, whichever suits you best. The morning workshop starts at 10am until 12.30pm and the afternoon session starts at 1pm and finishes at 3.30pm. Whatever the weather, we have the use of the Learning Centre in the beautiful setting of Durlston Country Park, which will be our base for the day. Suggestions of what to bring include: outdoor clothing, trainers, small rucksack, sunscreen, insect repellent and a cold drink. Food can be purchased from the Seventhwave Cafe or please feel free to bring your own picnic.

Research suggests that time in nature can reduce stress levels, blood pressure, increase our attention, creativity, problem solving skills and improve our wellbeing (Atchley 2012 , Kondo 2018)

The cost for the session is £20 per adult and £10 per child (5-14 years) which includes a cyanotype print.

Cancellation: A refund will be offered if cancellation is confirmed up to 2 weeks prior to the event or I can offer you an alternative date for a future workshop.
